Understanding Yin and Yang
Yin
and Yang expresses the evolution of all that exists
on this Earth.
They
are two individual natural form of energy that
exists in our Universe, opposing yet interrelating.
Just as when there is Day and Night, there will
be Yin when there is Yang. And again, like Day
and Night, they are constantly in change of state
and interaction.
All
things that exist on Earth would revolve around
Yin and Yang. For instance, we have the Male and
the Female, Positive and Negative, Strong and
Weak, Anger and Happiness and so on…
In
Feng Shui, we always seek to have a balance between
the Yin and the Yang energy, to be in tune and
harmony with such environment, acquiring benefits
from it. There should never be too much of either
one.
We
identify the mountain or the landform, which is
still and at rest as Yin and conversely, the rivers,
seas or lakes, which is active and moving as Yang.
In the general rule, a location with a good Feng
Shui will along these lines be a place where the
mountain (Yin) and the rivers (Yang) converge
in harmony.
Residing
in such an environment will certainly bring about
good fortune for one.
